About the artist (Italiano)
Loredana Sala Lollo was born in Rome, Italy, where she attended art school and joined a group of art students with various backgrounds and directions. From the same period date her first contacts with the women's liberation movement which will have an important influence on the human and artistic formation of the artist.
At the end of her studies she moves to the city of Bologna in northern Italy and gives life, together with other students of the same school, to an informal and mutually inspiring group of artists of diverse backgrounds which culminates in the first meeting of the cultural circle 'Anonima Cantina'.
Returning to Rome Lollo studies at the Accademia di belle arti where her experimentation with alternative materials and non-conformal use of varnishings attract the attention of prof. Diotallevi, who organizes a meeting of young European artists within the Europarte manifestation in Barcelona, Spain.
Back in Rome Lollo dedicates herself to a series of works which express her vision of the state of women in contemporary society enabling a first exposition titled Amazòs at the gallery M ars I di S.Lorenzo in Rome.
Lollo currently lives and works in Rome, Italy.
